Aims and Scope

International Journal of Advanced Joint Reconstructionis an Open Access publication channel for the rapid communication of summaries of available data on locomotive system research.

The site provides immediate open access to all content, ensuring that authors reach the widest possible audience.


A broad view is taken of the definition of locomotive system research; the research of every professional taking care of joints and bones is wellcomed in this journal. Not only surgeons, but anatomists, nurses, physiotherapists, and every professional taking care of the locomotive system is invited to submit their research. Articles reporting negative results are also specially wellcomed.

In addition to Basic, Clinical Research,  Case Reports, and Letter to the Editors, IJAJR considers the following article topics:

– Surgical Tips and Tricks: Any methods that can aid during the surgery (also preparation of surgery or post-surgical care), provided that a full description and illustrations are shown.

Technological Advances: the evaluation of eHealth, Mobile Health, 2.0 Surgery, Health Apps  applied in the treatment of bone and joint diseases, or aiding in coordinating teams, as well patient empowerment and engagement would be appropriated in this section.

Medical Education: Advances in teaching and learning about locomotive system care, and how to evaluate the process of learning would be appropriate in this article category.

Review or Short Review: Review articles could be accepted preferably when one of authors demonstrates previous research on the field and preferably a previous published work related to the review.
